Prescient Business Consulting is delighted to announce the appointment of Kate Marsh as a director of the company.

Kate leads all of Prescient’s service offerings around People & Culture and came on board shortly after David Thomson founder the business at the start of 2018, bringing with her a wealth of HR experience and expertise, both as a consultant and as an operational manager.

David Thomson, commenting about the appointment, said “I was very fortunate to be able to attract Kate to join Prescient in 2018 and I am delighted she is joining me on the board. Her creativity, coupled, with a natural and fundamental business sense always made this move an inevitability. I am sure Kate will continue to play a huge part in the next growth phase of the business.”

Prescient Business Consulting’s approach looks at 3 broad dimensions: Strategy, People and Processes. The team work with a wide range of businesses, from complex international groups to local SME’s, always bringing a ‘sleeves rolled up’ approach.

Solutions are delivered in a range of formats: specific consultancy projects; short workshops; long-term ‘as a Service’ provision of certain functions, eg HR; ongoing leadership support, perhaps as a NED.

Kate is responsible for managing Prescient’s provision of ‘HR as a Service’, ie augmenting or even replacing a client’s HR function to provide a flexible, cost effective, alternative. She also manages the supply of HR consultancy project services. In fact, when she first joined the business, she immediately took charge of a major client’s restructuring exercise, personally managing the process onsite with the client.

On her appointment as director, Kate Marsh says” I am honoured to join David on the board of Prescient, and I know we can enjoy great success in the future. Prescient’s approach is different from other consultancy businesses, with its unique blend of creativity, pragmatism and insight, born of wide and varied experience from many sectors and business situations.”
